Don’t Miss These Sessions at BLF 2022

​The Bangalore Literature Festival 2022 is being held on December 3-4 at The Lalit Ashok and here’s a quick look at some of the sessions you wouldn’t want to skip.

​Pico Iyer

​Author of 16 books, Pico Iyer has been a regular essayist for Time, NYT, The New York Review of Books, Financial Times since 1986. At BLF, he’ll be talking on ‘Why We Travel’ (10am) and ‘The Half Known Life’ - a discussion with David Davidar (2.15pm). Both the sessions are on December 3.

​William Dalrymple

​The bestselling author of White Mughals, The Last Mughal and The Anarchy, William William Dalrymple will be on the Red Couch at 10am and and in conversation with Alka Pande for ‘The Company Quartet’ at 7.15pm. Both the sessions are on December 4.

​Allen C Jones

​Award-winning California writer Allen C Jones will be in conversation with at 11.45am December 3 with Rahman Abbas, Surendranath S, Sumathy aka Thamizhachi Thangapandian with Deepti Navaratna. The session is titled ‘Brave the Elements: Nature as Setting’. His second session at 5.45pm, on ‘When Writers Teach Writing’ will also have Anita Nair, Saikat Majumdar, Tim Tomlinson with Sally Breen. Both the sessions are on December 3.

​Christopher Kloeble

​An award-winning scriptwriter and the author of three novels, a short story collection and a memoir, Christopher Kloeble will be in part of a panel titled ‘Writing Across Cultures’ with Helder Beja, Helen Burns with Anna Solding at 4pm.

​Honey Irani

​Actor, writer, director, Bollywood’s Honey Irani will be in discussion with Farhan Akhtar, Shantanu Ray Chaudhuri with Stutee Ghosh at 11 am and later talk about ‘Living with Nature’ at 3.30pm. Both the sessions are on December 4.

​Jerry Pinto

​Jerry Pinto, winner of the Sahitya Akademi Award and a National Award winner for best writing on cinema for his book on Helen, will be in conversation with Preeti Gill on ‘The Education of Yuri’ at 11am on December 3. On December 4, he’ll be part of the session, titled ‘The Book of Dog’ with Arunava Sinha, Bulbul Sharma and Hemali Sodhi. This session begins at 12.30pm.

​Kabir Bedi

​The actor, who’s now debuted his autobiography, ‘Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Life of an Actor’, will be discussing his book with Karthika VK at 10am on December 4.

​Mallika Sarabhai

​Dancer, actor, activist, Mallika Sarabhai will be discussing ‘Experiments with Living’ with Ramjee Chandran at 11.15am on December 3.

​Sudha Murty

​Bestselling author, especially for children, Sudha Murty will be in conversation with Manu Pillai on ‘The Magic of The Lost Story’ at 11.45 am on December 4.
