Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, who is currently recovering from a forearm injury that he got during a recent test match in Kanpur, keeps finding unique ways to keep his fans, followers, and himself, entertained.

On January 12, 2022, he took to Twitter to post a photo of him that reminded his fans and followers of Allu Arjun from his latest film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. This photo featured Ravindra with unkempt hair and kohl-rimmed eyes, just like Allu in ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ poster.

The Indian all-rounder cricketer recreated Allu Arjun’s rugged look and posed with a beedi (local cigarette) in his mouth. The photo was accompanied by a caption that read: “Pushpa ante Flower anukunnava Fireuuuu”, meaning “Did you mistake the name Pushpa for a flower? It’s fire”.

At the bottom of Ravindra’s post caption for a disclaimer that the beedi was for graphical representation only and he also urged fans to not consume tobacco and related products.

‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was released in December 2021 and earned raving reviews. The Telugu film also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who mesmerised fans with a special song, ‘Oo Antava’.

Ravindra isn’t the only cricketer who has been impressed by this movie. Recently, his fellow cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also took to Instagram to share a video of him lip-syncing a popular dialogue from the movie.
