After 11 years of being in a relationship, Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa tied the knot on November 15, 2021, in Chandigarh.
The wedding buzz started after dreamy pictures and a video of their white-themed engagement surfaced on Instagram with the couple exchanging rings as Ed Sheeran’s famous song ‘Perfect’ played in the background.
For the engagement ceremony, Rajkummar wore a bandhgala jacket and classic white sneakers, while Patralekhaa donned a Jade by Monica and Karishma silk-satin off-shoulder, floor-length gown with a thigh-high slit.
For the wedding ceremony at The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort in Chandigarh with close family and friends, Rajkummar opted for a raw silk ivory Sabyasachi sherwani with a pink dupatta, red turban and handcrafted Sabyasachi Heritage jewellery.
Patralekhaa, who belongs to a Bengali family, donned an all-red Sabyasachi tulle embroidered buti saree paired with a customized veil – the highlight of the outfit for us – and a kundan necklace with matching earrings and traditional shakha-pola bangles.
The veil's border was inscribed by a Bengali verse: Aamar poran bhora bhalobasha aami tomaye shomorpan korilam. This loosely translates to: ‘I dedicate to you my heart full of love.’
While the couple shared limited photos on their Instagram, wedding and fashion photographer Pallav Paliwal shared a still on his Instagram profile that shows Patralekhaa in her bridal avatar posing with two pet dogs in her hand.
The proposal and wedding took place at the luxurious Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort in New Chandigarh.
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa fell in love with each other on the sets of Citylights, which was their first and only movie together. And since then, have been giving their fans and followers major love goals.
