Ingredients For Chawal Ka Fara Recipe

  • Leftover Rice – 1 Cup

  • Rice Flour – 1 Cup

  • Cumin Seed – ½ Tsp

  • Salt – ½ Tsp

  • Oil – 1 Tbsp

  • Mustard Seed – ½ Tsp

  • Sesame Seed – ½ Tsp

  • Dry Red Chilli – 4-5

  • Garlic – 3-4 Pods

  • Curry Leaves – 8-10

  • Red Chilli Powder – ½ Tsp

  • Water – 1 Cup

  • Coriander Leaves - 2 Tbsp

How to make Chawal Ka Fara Recipe?

  1. In a bowl add leftover rice, rice flour, cumin seed, salt and mix well.
  2. Add water little at a time and knead until everything comes together to form a dough.
  3. Now take a portion of prepared dough and give it cylindrical shape.
  4. Repeat the process for entire dough.
  5. Next, heat oil in a pan.
  6. Add mustard seed, sesame seed, dry red chilli, chopped garlic, curry leaves and red chilli powder.
  7. Saute for a minute .
  8. Add water and let it come to boil.
  9. Carefully drop in the fara, please do not stir at this point as the fara can break.
  10. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes on low medium flame.
  11. Open the lid and saute until moisture completely evaporates.
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy.
