Ingredients For Veg. Arancini Rice Balls with Guava spread Recipe

  • For arancini rice balls -

  • leftover rice - 1 cup

  • Potato boiled, peeled and grated - 1/2 cup

  • Corn flour - 4 tbsp.

  • Boiled green peas - 1/4 cup

  • Chopped green capsicum - 1/4 cup

  • Chopped onion - 1/4 cup

  • Chopped fresh coriander leaves - 1/4 cup

  • Chopped green chilli - 2 tbsp.

  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp.

  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp.

  • Dry mango powder - 1 tsp.

  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.

  • Salt - to taste

  • Processed cheese grated - 1/4 cup

  • Bread crumbs - 1.5 cup

  • Oil - for deep frying

  • For guava spread -

  • Chopped Guava - 1 cup

  • Chopped green chilli - 1 -2 tsp.

  • Chopped fresh coconut - 1/4 cup

  • Chopped fresh coriander leaves - 1/4 cup

  • Curd - 1/4 cup

  • Water - 2 tbsp.

  • Salt - to taste

  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.

  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp.

  • Jaggery powder - 1/2 tsp.

  • Tamarind pulp - 3-4 tsp.

How to make Veg. Arancini Rice Balls with Guava spread Recipe?

  1. For veg. arancini rice balls -
  2. Take a bowl and mix 1 tbsp. Corn flour with little bit water to make slurry for coating rice balls. Consistency of the slurry should be medium. ( i.e. - No more thick, no more thin )
  3. Take another bowl and add rice and mash it well, then add all the other ingredients in same bowl except breadcrumbs. Mix them together.
  4. Divide the mixture into different portions and shape them into a ball.
  5. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate.
  6. Now, take a rice ball and dip it in corn flour slurry and coat it well, remove it immediately after coating and put it in breadcrumbs plate and coat it well with breadcrumbs.
  7. Repeat the above step with each ball and then heat the oil in pan and deep fry all the balls on low medium flame, untill it turns light golden in colour.
  8. Serve hot & crispy arancini rice balls with guava spread.
  9. For guava spread -
  10. Take all the ingredients in grinder jar and grind them into a fine paste. Guava spread is ready to serve.
